THE QUEENS PLATINUM JUBILEE FILM

Hampshire County Council wanted an official film that celebrated the Queens Platinum Jubilee within Hampshire. We proposed that with the right idea the film could do more than just highlight the Queens 70 year reign. It could be used well beyond the celebration weekend. The film promotes Hampshire tourism with walking and cycling in Hampshire as well as a historical film for education with the inclusion of Hampshire archives and living historical witnesses. We created a treatment that mixed a narrative of a coming together journey with a factual archive memory of the Queen and Hampshire over the past 70 years. It had to be a well-planned undertaking, shooting across 25 locations with 40 extras and 10 recorded voices in a short pre-summer window.
